Interview with Rob Marcello, July 7th, 2008

Hi, first off all I just want to congratulate you with your new album!
Are you satisfied with it?

Marcello: Thank you very much! Yes, I am very satisfied with it, and the response has been very positive and people seem to really like it so I couldn't be happier.

Who has produced and mixed the album?

Marcello: Bruno Ravel (Danger Danger Bassist) and I produced it together. Bruno both mixed and mastered the CD and he did an INCREDIBLE job.

Are there any songs on the album that are special to you?

Marcello: I really like "Love Injection" and "All I wanna do is you". I think they are good rock tunes and I think that those songs represent my guitar playing pretty well. But each song is special to me in its own way for various reasons.

How long have you been playing guitar, and for the guitar-heads out there can you please tell us a bit about the gear you use?

Marcello: I can’t tell you how long I have been playing because it’s been so long and I really should be a lot better hahaha! I use Caparison Guitars, Dean Markley Strings, Jim Dunlop Picks, BOSS and Roland Effects, Creation Audio Labs effects, ISP Technologies...

Do you practice every single day?

Marcello: Yes, because I LOVE playing guitar and there are always so many new things to learn.

What tasks presently lie ahead for you?

Marcello: We are getting ready to do the new Danger Danger CD (Which will be AWESOME) and going over to Europe to play in the fall.

What would you do, if you weren't able to compose music?

Marcello: That's something I have never thought about and I REALLY hope I never have to worry about that! I can't imagine not being able to do music.

What albums or bands do you believe have had the greatest impact on the history of Hard Rock and Metal?

Marcello: Wow that’s a tough question to answer, but I can tell you which albums have had the biggest impact on me; Van Halen (ST), The Beatles (White Album), The Rolling Stones (Sticky Fingers), Jimi Hendrix (AXIS bold as love), Ozzy Osbourne (Blizzard of Ozz), KISS (Love Gun), AC/DC (Back in Black), Dokken (Back for the Attack) and anything by DANGER DANGER!!!

What albums have you been listening to lately?

Marcello: The Rolling Stones: Black and Blue and Airborne: Running Wild.

I thank you very much for participating in this interview and sharing this information and your thoughts with us - these last lines are entirely for you. Any final words you would like to round off with - a tip, a recommendation or a thought for the future?

Marcello: I just wanna thank all you fellow rockers out there for being the coolest! And I’m looking forward to seeing all of you soon!
Ooh yeah and don't forget to buy my new CD hahahaha!
