Are you into Death metal? What about technical death metal with an progessive
edge? Necrophagist is back with a stunning album called "Epitaph".
The mastermind behind Necrophagist is Muhammed Suicmez (Vocals and guitar),
and I can tell you one thing: He is a very gifted player. The first album by Necrophagist was a one man band, with digital drums,
but now the line up is:
Muhammed Suicmez - Guitar / Vocals
Christian Muenzner - Guitar
Stefan Fimmers - Bass
Hannes Grossmann - Drums
"Epitaph" is full of speedy brutal riffs with neo-classical touches, and great, great
leads. The music is so brilliant, it's almost unbelievable. Believe me.
The music is both chugging, but melodic at the same time and the only drawback of this album is the
vocals ... deep, grunted and one-dimensional in my opinion, however it is the music, that
counts ... and the music is great. Muhammed Suicmez's leads are just great and beautiful, but so are the blasting rhythm
section.
If you are into Death Metal ... technical death metal, give Necrophagist a chance, I think they
deserve it.
