Ever
heard the
name
Panos Dedes? Well this Greek guy was almost given the job as singer in
Judas Priest, only beaten by Tim “The Ripper” Owens. Panos Dedes
sounds a bit like Andy B. Franck (Brainstorm & Symphorce) and that
fits the groovy power metal from Casus Belli really well. Casus
Belli released a demo cd back in 1998, and their debut CD “Mirror
Out of Time” was released in 2001 on the Sound & Vision label.
In the beginning of 2005 they signed a deal with German based Limb
Music Products. The tracks on the new album “In the Name of Rose”
are very diverse, the opener “I’m Your Master” reminds of Judas
Priest, some of the other tracks “Holy Gates” & “Edge of a
Knife” sounds like a mixture of As
you can see Casus Belli has something for almost every head banger,
especially if you are into traditional metal. “In the Name of
Rose” is produced by R.D.Liapakis (Mystic Prophecy) in The Music
Factory Studios, Germany. And it has a killer sound. Recommended
tracks: “Holy Gates” & "Edge of a Knife”. |
