I
don’t know what it is about Bolt-Thrower. No matter what these Brits
do, it is hard to say anything negative about it. The
same goes for their latest effort, “Those Once Loyal”. In my humble
opinion, this is Bolt-Thrower’s best album to date. In terms of tempo,
the disc is more varied than “Honour – Valour – Pride” and “Mercenary”,
and the band sounds fresher than they’ve done for years. Perhaps the
break from Karl Willets and his recent return to the ranks have had a
good effect. Fact
is, the band has regained speed and their ability to create songs
consisting of two ultra-efficient, catchy riffs has reached a level of
perfection. ‘Nuff said. Recommended:
