If
you are into old European metal such as Iron Maiden & Judas Priest,
then you should give “Silent Company” from Black Majesty a chance. These
four guys from down under would have made it big in the mid eighties, with
their Maiden/Priest riffing and a great singer who reminds me of a
mixture of Bruce Dickinson and Geoff Tate, this is great stuff. Black
Majesty released their debut album “Sands of Time” in 2003, and
“Silent Company” is certainly a great step in the right direction.
With songs like the melodic “Darkened Room”, “Silent Company”
and the speedy “Dragon Reborn” Black Majesty are ready to compete
with the best in The
strongest track on “Silent Company” is a cover version of the John
English classic “Six ribbons” it sounds exactly like a Falconer
tune. The
production is superb as always with Piet Sielck (Iron Savior).
“Silent Company” is also released as a limited edition digi-pack
with two extra tracks “Chasing Times” and “Guardian” plus a
video clip to the track “Silent Company”. Recommended tracks: “Darkened Room”, Dragon Reborn”
& “Six Ribbons”. |
