Debut
album from Danish band ALOOP formed
in 2000. The music is hard hitting Thrash with both clean and rougher
vocals. The production is very good and ALOOP
fires off some great HEAVY riffs. The
only down point is in my opinion, that nothing REALLY stands out.
Don’t get me wrong... this is
NOT a crap album. Maybe I’m a bit spoiled… yes, I think I am!
Every single time I listen to an album I somehow expect a killer
release… this is not a killer release but “only” quite good! Even
after numerous listens I still find this album “only” quite good. We
get Head banging-breaks and razor-sharp riffing but somehow it doesn’t
seem to be enough. However I’m sure that ALOOP
will have a spot on the Metal map soon enough. They’re not doing
anything spectacular or groundbreaking, but any Slayer or Pantera fan
should check this Danish band, ALOOP,
out. Recommended
