This is the fifth album from Sacred Steel, the second one after they signed with Massacre Records. And it kicks off right where the last album "Slaughter Prophecy" left you, old school power metal not the happy Stratovarious kind of metal, but more in the vein of dark US metal from the 80's. If you like Agent Steel or Mercyful Fate you will love Sacred Steel. If you ask me "The Chains Of The Nazarene" is the highlight of this album, but "Open Wide The Gate" and "Beneath The Iron Hand" are also impressive. |
