The
first thing that strikes me when listening to "The Audio Injected
Soul", is the fact that Michael Bøgballe has come to master his
voice to perfection. He not only has great
potential - he’s actually using it! There is a degree of vocal
variation on this album that is rarely heard. As
a band, Mnemic has a lot to offer as many European metal fans have
found out during this summer’s festivals across the continent, and
this album is a perfect way to follow up on the extensive touring and
the hammer debut, last year’s "Mechanical Spin Phenomena". Where
Mnemic could have decided to play it safe and copy Fear Factory some
more, they have managed to create their own multifaceted sound and
concentrate on the abrupt and aggressive riffing style that’ll have
to seen as their trademark by now. Needless
to say, Tue Madsen’s production is flawless and fits Mnemic’s
style perfectly. Recommended
