The full-length debut of the Italians ULTRA-VIOLENCE is an encyclopedic tribute to the thrash metal movement in its totality from 80es till nowadays. The exceptional productivity of the quartet is supported by classic thrash riffs as basis of the compositions.

Fast, dynamic, energetic in performance and with aggressive vocals the boys achieve the emanation of the gender. At the same time they are not going in a direction which many of the current followers of the style fall – there are no blackened touches and deviations to the garage sound. It’s the opposite – precise riffs, different in each song and excellent production are typical for „Privilege To Overcome“.

If someone plays ULTRA-VIOLENCE and ask me to guess the band I will be rather embarrassed!  I would hear in their music DARK ANGEL, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, VIO-LENCE, EVIL DEAD. The respected riffs used are borrowed from METALLICA, SLAYER, EXODUS and TESTAMENT, but as it is in the second wave of the above-mentioned Bay Area thrash bands – they are improved.

I recommend this album to the young fans because of its perfect sound! They would listen to this CD with clear mind – mine is somehow contaminated.  Indeed this is a good work but with too many references.
