Monster Magnet has been around since the early 90's and is a big, old dinosaur in the stoner rock genre. With ten studio albums under the belt Monster has some kind of a cult status. 'Last Patrol' is their newest epic psychedelic rock album with the amazing Dave Wyndorf on vocals. I've never been such a big fan to this New Jersey band, but I had my eyes on them in the 90's, but their latest albums have passed by my ears completely.

The opening song 'I Live Behind the Clouds', which is a very melancholic and 'down' track, which almost scarred me away immediately, but in the very epic and over nine minutes long title track I started to get the space-rock in my veins. Awesome guitars and at the same time down-to-earth sound. A crazy blend of the straight forward rock and trips of LSD. The heavy song 'Hallelujah' is grabbing my spine and makes me move my boot. The eight minute long track 'End of Time' is a epic journey into space. Monster Magnet walks down their unique pathway and it doesn't sound similar to any other band.

If you are a fan of Monster Magnet's earlier album I can recommend this disc to you. Very well written songs with typical Monster Magnet rocking vibes...
