There are more and more doom metal bands with a female vocalist, think Jex Thoth, Mourn and High Priest of Saturn. Demon Lung is another, with singer Shanda Fredrick. If you listen to the music without knowing the band has a female vocalist, you probably wouldn't have noticed. She has a rather low, though and powerful voice.

The music is very slow and has a big sludge influence. The lyrics are rather occult and this concept album tells us a story about the devils son returning to earth. Some influences of Black Sabbath as well as some Candlemass influences pass by, but in general the music is slower and sludgier than Candlemass. I always prefer the songs with a little bit more tempo as for example in parts of the song "Heathen Child". Sometimes it is very slow and at the end of the "Hex Mark" I even have to think of the band Winter and then especially because of the drum sound.

Real doom fans that appreciate a big portion of sludge will like this for sure.
