'Brutal Planet' is the 21st studio album by Alice Cooper, originally released in 2000. This is a re-release of one of the hardest and coolest albums Alice Copper have in his long album list. Industrial, heavy, dark rock with lyrics, which deals with human darkness and big social problems. This sounds like Rob Zombie or Marilyn Manson have been involved in the production somehow and mixed up with Alice's old school rock sound. The result is not a genuine Cooper rock sound.

This is far away from radio friendly hit songs like 'Schools Out' and 'Poison'. No, this is pure horror and the doom metal drums that are doing a horrifying impression on me. I like the first half of 'Brutal Planet', but this isn't really my bag of music and I'm having a hard time to get a reasonable and fair overall rating.

This disc is worth to get your hands on, because it have a lot of goodies to consume. 'Brutal Planet' was the first heavy metal album since the 'hairy band' era and his big hit album 'Trash' and the giant MTV hit 'Poison' from -89.

If you like heavy dark industrial rock this might be an interesting album to check out.
