ToxicRose from Stockholm, Sweden is a new rock 'n' roll project with members from 'Lipstixx 'n' Bulletz', 'Sexydeath' and 'Gemini Five'. There aren't any pretty, sweet looking guys on the EP-cover. Stiff hard look with a cool attitude and hellish lot of hairspray in their jet-black hair. Much leather and blackened eyes. Musically this is a 5 piece rock 'n' Roll EP with remarkable well written songs.

More guitar driven rock than I expected and with a vocalist in absolute top class. They really make my old knees shook quite intense in the intro track 'Song for the Weak'. ToxicRose is aiming high and this is truly a promising start on their journey to the bigger stages. The Poodles, Crazy Lixx, H.E.A.T and such Swedish bands are playing in the same league, but ToxicRose has a more blacken tone, just like a lighter version of the heavier black rockers in Deathstars. 'Set me Free' is a great up-tempo song with lot of catchy chorus and splendid singing. ToxicRose do not offer a major technical instrumental brilliance, but with an incredible passion and contagious energy, they offer us a ride that makes you want to have one hell of party!

If you are a fan of melodic party rock/metal with strong guitars and big vocals, then this is a band to put your eyes on. This sounds very promising!

Lineup: Andy - lead vocals, Tom - guitars, backing vocals, Goran - bass, backing vocals, Michael - drums, backing vocals.
