Mixing traditional death metal with deathcore and old school death metal is what these Danes do. Combined with technical skills and a neat production of Dan Swanö another good death metal album is completed. Spectral Mortuary's second after their 2007 debut 'From Hate Incarnated'.

How they sounded on the first album I don't know, but what they do on this album is food for every death metal fan. It is dark, heavy, technical and brutal. Add the usual harsh/grunting vocals to the music and you get decent far from original music. Variation can also be heard: besides the fast tempo in most of the songs, they have some slow-downs and mid-tempo pieces too. Fast tremolo riffs and blast-beats are other returning elements in their songs. Like I said, nothing new or original, but a slower heavy riff as for example in the song "Found in Feces" is food for every death metal fan.

Another nice death metal album at the beginning of this year, where will it end?
