Back from Aalborg Festival, not the biggest for its size but one of the best for its quality (and I really mean it!), I have a lot of extreme and great music in my head. I am ready for some more, from Sentence, not Sentenced: do not mix up.

Formed in Paris in 2008, the French quatuor claims influence from Death, Cynic or The Faceless. After a very promising E.P. "H.A.A.R.P." in 2010, their first album is on its way, available just before Christmas, in Santa Claus' bag.

I can find in "Everywhere" much more from The Faceless than from Cynic (93 or today), both bands are anyway more than excellent references.

Death's legacy is here for sure, especially from "The Sound of Perseverance" or "Symbolic". Another Chuck Schuldiner's heir you could say: that is right. But is it a problem? Not at all! First, it is difficult to find a progressive death metal band not influenced by one of the most revered metal genius. Secondly, Chuck gave us masterpieces, but left us too soon: it is good to know that musicians of talent proudly "carry the torch".

"Everywhere" songs are tailor-made for live performance: come to Aalborg next year, guys, following Gojira's footsteps!
