Scar of the Sun
A Series of Unfortunate Concurrencies
Rating
Style: Doomish Melodic Death Metal
Release date: 26 May, 2011
Playing time: 55:57

Scar of the Sun's debut A Series of unfortunate Concurrencies got in my hands a while ago. The style might not be my  typical cup of tea, hence the rating, but do pay attention more to the words that follow.

A modern, atmospherical metal I sometimes am inclined to call "speed doom". Taste the words yourself. The melodies and voice don't exactly propose novelty; they rather follow in the steps of the genre, reminding a bit of Paradise Lost's more recent productions.

I have to say Scar of the Sun sound promising as a live act, which their past experience witness of. Lucky you, the band is ready to hit to road!

Scar of the Sun will be the opening act for the "Into Darkness 2012" European tour featuring Moonspell, Pain, Swallow the Sun and Lake of Tears. 17 shows are planned, check their website for the full list!
