The promo text wants to sell this Finnish trio’s second full-lenght as ’hypnotic yet slow-as-fuck groove’. If hypnotic equals boring, then, yeah, then they have a point.
This is doom-inspired sludge, and it’s 45 minutes of going absolutely nowhere in the course of six long songs of the impending end of the world.
Those of you who are regular visitors to this site will know that I’m no stranger to slow and heavy doom, but this simply won’t ignite, even if this band has the guts to rid themselves of the guitars and rely solely on two basses and drums.
