Lamb Of God and Randy Blythe in particular have not lived in vain if I'm to trust my ears on this one. Polish Empatic sound like a mash of LOB and a Swedish melodic death metal band, and 'Gods of Thousand Souls' is all in all a potent release which bears witness to a band with a huge potential.

You have the full speed ahead kind of songs (False Friend is a good example) as well as the groove tunes (Tomorrowland is a very good example of that), plus, of course the straight forward melodic death metal clone songs (Vs is a prime example).

'Gods of Thousand Souls' is a fully approved piece of metal (apart from the not very fitting cover of OMD's Enola Gay), but at the same time, room for improvement is still available for the Poles, and they are still to find a style which is more their own.
