You won't believe how long time this CD has been lying around in the heap of CD's that want a review! Guilty conscience!

And it's not even as if there's a good excuse other than other priorities. This is not at all a bad album! The Finnish trio Wraithmaze has actually fostered a self-released effort that is well-worth a listen for fans of death with a slightly different twist.

Synths are widely used on the entire album and provide an underlying creepy atmosphere mixed with a fair amount of bombast. Combined with a vocals that has a tinge of black metal and yet blends into the music like another instrument rather than something that actually expresses lyrics, 'Adagio in Self-Destruction' isn't like any other promo.

Give it a shot - cool stuff.
