The new full-length album of U.D.O. will come out on 20 May, 2011. If you’re not ready for it... you can prepare yourselves with “Leatherhead”.

The presentation:

The two tracks from the upcoming release are traditional for U.D.O. and they have some characteristic features. The love of U.D.O. toward Russian culture is well-known. The new songs contain something from the early Russian heavy metal scene (АРИЯ, АВГУСТ, ТЯЖЕЛЬI ДЕН). They have a rock sound supported by blues ("Leatherhead") or rock ‘n’ roll ("Rock ‘n’ Roll Soldiers"). We can hear the traditional pauses of the guitar, where the bass, the drums and the voice unmask the structure of the song but without surprises.

The rare songs:

There are two tracks which till now appeared only in a concert DVD from 2004. “Free or Rebellion” returns us to the downright style of the band – more dynamics, more aggressive riffs and strong singing. The ballad with keyboards “Run!” sounds exhausted as if it's final of a drama.

The visualization:

In the release are included the videos “Leatherhead” and the joker’s black Christmas video of the mail-order company EMP with guest participation of Udo. The artwork of the front cover is in the veins of the last video – a link between black ‘n’ roll and KIND DIAMOND.
