My big love for Grecce is special, because I love to spend my holidays there with great food and often sunny weather.

This is a new band from the home of ancient times and with the debut album "Narcissist" they show the world that Firewind and Gus G wasn't something temporarily from these latitudes. TRIB is a female fronted metal band, and Mina on vocals doesn't only stand for the singing attribute, she also stands for the lyrics and the music on "Narcissist". Well, they play in a hard division with Epica, Within Temptation and Nightwish as opponents. So how does "Narcissist" do in caparison?

In the opening song the sound is heavy and rough and it got more dark influences than I expected. It sounds both progressive and symphonic to me and in the next track they put the pedal down and with some beautiful tempo changes they got my complete attention. In 'Nocturne' Mina shows that she belongs at this level. In the catchy 'Eternally' they got a little simpler, but digestibler song. The strong and powerful 'The Rain into my Eyes' is a short earring, but it could be a bit longer, I felt.

The Album was produced by Chris Ntaskas, mixed by Jonas Kjellgren from Scar Symmetry and mastered in US by Kevin Reeves and a credit to them as well.

If you like this kind of metal with nice melody with progressive elements and with good female singing, this is a nice newcomer to check out.

My favourites: The Utter Me, Nocturne, The Rain Into My Eyes.
