It is not often you get the chance to hear such "ready" a product as it is the case with this promo disc. Silumacrum from Finland delivers their take on progressive metal with style, situating themselves like so many other bands between Symphony X and Dream Theater with a touch of Scandinavian progressive metal in the mix (Andromeda)

You might think; "Well that's been done a million times before and in most cases without any success"! And that is so true and it fits for 95 % of the releases that has that distinct label on them, but not for Simulacrum.

The four songs they've chosen to represent them shows a versatile and talented young band that knows how to write good progressive and powerful music. Sure they do not add anything new to the scene, but the songs are so well-written and executed that they almost demand to be noticed.

They should have a full album ready, and if the rest of the songs are of an equally high standard then we are surely in for one of the better debut releases this year...

Do check them out!
