Jerusalem was formed in 1975 in Sweden, the debut album saw the daylight in 1978. Jerusalem was one of the few christian hard rock bands that made it to the bigger scenes and reached also outside to the non-religious rock fans. Now 16 years has passed since we heard a new studio album from the groups leader and leadsinger Ulf Christiansson (born in 1949) and his band members. Reunionband from the 80s is popping up like weed in the garden and this is a intresting record, not only because I'm curious about the sound, but if they left the U2 soundalike they had on the last studio production.

The first track "Calling On" makes me very pleased with good tempo and Ulf's voice doesn't feels like he's passed 60 rather in his 40s. Alert drumming from Mr Ulvsgärd and nice and soft guitar makes me forget the time span they had between the albums. Track 2 "Come On" sounds modern and fresh, a live favourite mabye? The remaining songs contains more of the sound I didn't wanted to hear. I can't find any more track that keeps my finger from the skipbutton. If you are a fan of Jerusalem already you will surely like "She", but for me it'll be a nice album to vaccum-clean to.

Favourite tracks: "Come On" and "Calling On". The album cover was maybe the best!

Jerusalem Lineup 2011: Ulf Christiansson Guitars & Lead vocals, Peter Carlsohn Bass & Backing vocals, Michael Ulvsgärd Drums & Backing vocals.
