Founded in 2006, Grisātre is a French project born without ambition but the sole purpose that the composer would let out his inspiration; he was finally led to show his work to a broader audience. After a demo and a full-length in 2008, as well as a split (with Ataraxia Utopia), here is L'Idée de Dieu.

Grisātre produces a music aiming at the call of the feelings which take to reflexion, to he discovery of an unconscious occult knowledge, and also it is a personal representation of visions, perceptions, a vision artistically metaphysical.

Musically this is translated by a melancholic, foggy low to mid-tempo black-metal with many influences and very melodic bass lines that will lull and mesmerize. The balance between the intense voice and the rest is not always well tuned, and the drums are too tedious. Otherwise a very fine record for those who still dream of eternal winter.
