In March this year, Triptykon released 'Eparistera Daimones' and half a year later this EP is here. Tracks 1, 2, and 3 were recorded during the 'Eparistera' album sessions in 2009. "Crucifixus" appears in a newly mixed and mastered version. Celtic Frost fans know the fourth and fifth song and they were recorded at the Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, the Netherlands on April 16th 2010. Special about the "Dethroned Emperor" version is that it features guest lead vocals by Nocturno Culto of Darkthrone/Sarke.

The first two tracks are slow Celtic Frost kind of songs, with, in the first track, some female vocals. "Crucifixus" is a kind of noise song in the same style as "My Pain" and "Shrine" from the last album. Not my cup of tea and totally redundant, it has nothing to do with metal.

Of course the two live songs are well known and especially the version of "Dethroned Emperor" is a great one. Fans will like this EP, others who didn't like their previous album, can leave this one be.
