When I listen to an album that is well played, well produced and above average but funny enough never REALLY ignites (maybe except for at few tracks) I always get the feeling that the band is capable of more. And this is the exact feeling I get when I listen to the brand new offering from Dutch band

Terra Nova.

There is nothing wrong with their melodic rock music and the really knows how to play, but I still miss something. When I listen to the songs I’m very impressed with 2 of them. Namely “Under Pressure” and “Who Can You Count On”. 2 tracks that contains all the right ingredients to make a song work; Catchy riffs, excellent leads and memorable choruses. 2 songs that really shows their potential. The rest of the songs are above average, however they miss that certain spark that the songs need to catapult this band into the premier league of melodic rock in my humble opinion.

Above average... but listen before you buy.
