I have really tried my hardest with this album, but even after numerous spins I still don't see the light. The album never opens up and becomes something extraordinary. The few things that stand out, stand out in a negative way; the keyboards are at times too up front in the mix, vocalist Emmanuel Creis sounds forced and the guitar sound is mediocre.

Sure there are moments; some really nice guitar and keyboard leads, but "Mind Control" never leaves a lasting impression on me, even though their combination of melodic metal spiced with progressive and AOR parts should be straight up my alley.

One of too many well played albums that simply need substance and it also suffers from a mediocre production. There is room for improvement here, maybe next time...
