There are two ways to consider this CD - if you’re into bands such as (early) Marduk, Abruptum or DarkThrone, then "Plaegh" should be right up your alley. But if you're not into bands that tread that fine and highly subjective line between noise and musical expression, then you should probably steer clear of this like the plague (that pun was accidental, honest!).

With the proliferation of so many blasphemous, gory or politically incorrect bands, it's hard for this album to truly shock or excite. Admittedly I often find myself checking out this kind of stuff, if anything to remind myself of an important aspect in the evolution of Metal but it always turns out to be a brief reminiscence.

The rating I've given sort of represents a middle ground between the aforementioned considerations, doubtlessly influenced by my own feelings for this genre of Metal.
