Golden Resurrection is cooperation between multi instrumentalist Tommy Johansson (ReinXeed) and vocalist and label owner Christian Liljegren (Narnia, DivineFire). Stefan Kock (bass), Richard Gustafsson (drums) and Olov Andersson (Keyboards) complete the band. With Christian Liljegren on vocals this can't go wrong, we know him from Divinefire and he always does an excellent job. On this record that is not different.

These Swedish musicians have a preference for powermetal with a neo-classical edge. Yngwie, Narnia, Royal Hunt and ReinXeed are all bands you can compare them to. Fortunately they don't try to impress by playing too difficult or fast, no they all play in the interest of the songs. No freaking out, just good musicianship. The album kicks off with a neo-classical guitar solo; the blueprint for what you can expect on the album is up-tempo songs. If you dig melody and good songs with great singing this is your thing. Of course the Christian lyrics are again on top, but what's wrong with that? As long as the music is good I don't care at all. There are enough bands that do the opposite and I don't hear anyone complaining about it!

Fans of Narnia, Yngwie, Royal Hunt and other neo-classical metal bands can snap this one up.
