Demonic Resurrection
The Return to Darkness

Style: Melodic Black Metal
Release date: August 2nd 2010

I know a lot of bands from a lot of different and sometimes 'not' metal countries. That they have metal bands in India wasn't such a big surprise to me, because metal is everywhere where they have human beings and electricity. Most of the time, the quality of the bands is not so good, or the production sucks.

Demonic Resurrection is an exception. This band from Mumbai surprises me with this, their third release. They have already supported Opeth and Amon Amarth and they have participated in the documentary 'Global Metal' by Sam Dunn and they certainly don't suck! The production is first class and when it comes to originality: they haven't invented the gunpowder again, but they introduce some good ideas and arrangements like in the track "A Tragedy Befallen". The fast melodic technical black metal with keyboards, orchestral parts and evil passages can best be compared with Cradle of Filth, Graveworm and Dimmu Borgir.

For your monthly melodic black I recommend this Indian 'Return to Darkness'.
