Kreator
Hordes of Chaos
Rating
Style: Thrash Metal
Release date: January 16th 2009

KREATOR continues where they left us with ‘Enemy of God’ (2005)... with pure Thrash Metal. The production is a little rougher than most new over-produced releases because ‘Hordes of Chaos’ are recorded live in the studio. Very dynamic sound, I must say.

The 10 songs are a constant attack on all your senses; Superb drumming, angry vocals and lots of catchy guitar runs in every single song. We even get a catchy and quite different (for KREATOR) chorus in the excellent “To the Afterborn”.

The quality of the songs are very high in my humble opinion... there’s not one single filler to be found. Every single song stands out on its own... just give the CD a few spins and you’ll be playing it over and over again. Tracks such as;“Hordes of Chaos”, “Escalation”, “Destroy what Destroys You”, “To the Afterborn” and “Demon Prince” shows that KREATOR is still one of the very best Thrash Metal bands of all time.

If this album isn’t enough to get you out of bed on these cold and very dark winter mornings, then I don’t know what is.
