Impending Doom
The Serpent Servant
Rating
Style: Death-Core
Release date: March 31st 2009

Impending Doom has lost it. Impending Doom are not a real death metal band any more but are leaning more towards death-core... and I just can’t stand all that “core-shit”.

I have been listening to this album over and over again just to get it... but I don’t. Nothing really stands out except for a few riffs now and then.

They are heavy, alright... they are groovy... and they sometimes press the pedal to the metal but with no impact in my humble opinion. Even the growls are quite boring... and it’s actually only the production that I like about this album... and a few riffs.

Maybe it’s just me? Maybe this is the best death-core album of all time? But I’m not sure that this CD will find its way into my CD-player again.

Sad.
