How not to fall for Fall of the Idols 's cover when you're an artist en herbe ? For those who, like me, think that the outside is as worthy as the inside, check out the works of Reverend Bizarre's Albert Witchfinder.

I won't say the music is as colourful and nuanced as the cover; actually it's sterile and straight as the geometric forms. That is called sterile in a good way; this is purely Finnish: nude, some will say bleak and they are not wrong, with a very subtile touch of Eastern folklore, yes, actually, listen carefully to the beginning of the 'Nosophoros'.

In The Seance , you will sometimes feel like you're sitting in a mental asylum, hence the title? Anyway, it's awesome, especially the vocals. Mind you, this is not a standard doom record at all; it rocks, it grooves, there is a real progression of the mood through the record. You just have to give it time to sink!

While many will not take the band's signals the same way as I no matter what, I enjoyed my listenings, and I encourage all special interested, fans of My Dying Bride, Candlemass, and doom generally to give this record a chance.

And a big sorry to the guys for not posting this before now.
