Wow... WALL OF SLEEP? – Never heard of them before... I think... but they have released a brand new album entitled ‘...And Hell Followed With Him’... their 3rd I think... and it’s actually a very positive surprise in my book.

We are talking Doom Metal here... heavy, crunchy like hell, but still melodic and I do think that fans of ST. VITUS, THE OBSESSED, TROUBLE, PLACE OF SKULLS, CATHEDRAL and (early) BLACK SABBATH will love this album.

Some of you out there might have the feeling that Doom Metal is just slow music to fall asleep to

but that’s not the truth to put it simple. Some Doom releases might be suitable for that but Doom Metal like WALL OF SLEEP with clean vocals and melody and bottom-heavy guitars is just pure ROCK music... pure HEAVY ROCK music that I do think that most of you out there could get into.

We get 8 tracks on ‘...And Hell Followed With Him’, 8 tracks where every riff and every note are in the right spot. This is groovy stuff, boys and girls. The mesmerizing riffs captivates me from the very first track “Buried 1000 Times” to the last “Stabat Mater” and DAMN... I need to turn up the volume... I just need to play it LOUD! The guitars... the guitars... I really like the sound of the guitars... warm, HEAVY, groovy... and the songs... the songs are quite catchy but certainly NOT wimpy. But what about the production? – Great production... heavy as hell.

Well... all in all a great album from WALL OF SLEEP from Hungary and fans of the above mentioned bands should definitely order this album right fucking away!!!
