Voodoo Six
First Hit for Free

Style: Hard Rock
Release date: March 24th 2008

Earlier in the year I had the opportunity to listen to the first single ”Faith” off the re-release of Voodoo Six' first album, originally entitled "Feed My Soul" (2006), now out entitled 'First Hit for Free' with the addition of 'Faith' and another running order. The whole thing has been remixed by legendary Canadian engineer Mike Fraser (Van Halen, AC/DC, Aerosmith etc.). Given the chance to listen to the whole album, I jumped the gun...

I can't put my finger on what it is that makes me thrilled when I listen to this album because there is absolutely nothing special or new to report here, they play hard rock with attitude and balls and their approach to their music is from the same backyard that brought us bands like Guns 'n' Roses, Skid Row, Junkyard and Love/Hate with an European twist to it.

The album is solid with well written, executed and produced songs, nothing sticks out, and the outcome is a fine and acceptable album. So if you are into dirty hard rock album then I suggest you give this one a chance...
