Virgin Steele
The Marriage of Heaven and Hell (Part 2)
Rating
Style: Traditional Power Metal
Release date: October 31st 2008

If I didn't know that I put the third re-release of Virgin Steele in my stereo, I would certainly think I put a Manowar CD on. The song "A Symphony of Steele" sounds a lot like Manowar, even more than on the first 'Marriage' album, David Defeis sounds like Eric Adams.

I find part 2 just a little better than part 1. I have the idea the record contains heavier and faster songs "Devil/Angel", "Victory is mine" and "A Symphony of Steele" are some good examples. As on part 1 there is still enough room left for the softer, epic and bombastic parts. As bonus tracks they put two live versions on this re-release. Fans, who want to own everything Virgin Steele has ever recorded, have to pull their purse out again.

When I had to choose one of the three re-releases, I would pick this one. But of course you can buy all three by these steel Maidens.
