Vindictiv is a band that hails from Sweden, and the sound gives that away…

Already from the first stroke of guitar and vocals, it’s obvious what this is going to be about: Sure compositions, very skilled playing (especially by guitarist(hero)/main man Stefan Lindholm), well done vocals (Göran Edman – vocalist for Yngwie and John Norum among others) sure playing by all other of the musicians, and sure and professional production.

So everything should be in order and just fine…sure, if you’re very much into Yngwie M., Brazen Abbot and Symphony X, this will be your kinda thing, so check it out if you’re into some of the above mentioned.

But it seems to me, that in spite of everything being so very well done, I’ve heard something just like this like a zillion times before, and it just doesn’t move me anymore. I don't want to put it down, but there’s not really anything new and inventive in this release, this just leaves me with a : “Well….”, and not an urge to put it on again.

And I can’t really make out the cover artwork – what’s it supposed to be, a space ship or what?

Sorry guys, doesn’t work for me (anymore)….next, please.
