It’s no secret that I totally adore the Polish death metal band VADER so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on their brand new release entitled ‘XXV’. This anniversary album celebrates 25 years of existence and ‘XXV’ features re-recorded songs from the history of the band.
‘XXV’ is released in two different editions: Edition-one is a 2 CD album and edition two is a 2 CD (with 3 bonus tracks) + DVD. Both editions contain a great booklet with liner notes to every single song. And of course they come with an awesome production.
Well... I’m not exactly sure if I’m the right one to review this album... because in my humble opinion VADER can do nothing wrong. VADER stands for awesome guitar runs, pounding drums and even the vocals are superb. DAMN... it’s kinda weird but I feel fucking fine when I’m listening to VADER... suddenly I find my self in such a good mood... even though that death metal is all about aggression, dark lyrics, growls and brutal riffs.
Well (again)... ‘XXV’ is a must buy for every VADER fan out there. Heck, this is a must buy for every fan of death metal because Vader is the masters and they could certainly teach most of the death metal bands on this planet a thing or twelve.
So go and get this album and take a listen to re-recorded tracks such as; “Chaos”, “Vicious Circle”, “Dark Age”, “Blood of Kingu”, “Wings” and “Dark Transmission” among others.
One of the best releases of the year – already!
