Former Deep Purple, Rainbow and Yngwie J Malmsteen singer Joe Lynn Turner will release his first solo live album, entitled "Live In Germany" on October 10 via Frontiers Records. The CD was recorded at the United Forces of Rock Festival in Ludwigsburg, Germany on September 30, 2007 and features some of the all-time classic songs that Joe Lynn Turner has performed with Rainbow and Deep Purple, along with some of the newest tracks in his solo career. It is great to hear new songs like “Blood Red Sky” & “Your Love is Life” plus classics like “Spotlight Kid” and “Burn”.

But to me this is just another live album we didn’t need. The production is so muddy it is irritating to listen to. The guitars are way down in the mix, Joe Lynn Turner sounds like he is cursing through the set and I just get no passion coming through the speakers. There is no crowd interaction which is a shame. Sounds like there are only 100 people there between songs. I would only recommend this to die hard Deep Purple or Joe Lynn Turner fans only.
