There are dozens of bands that bear the name "Titanic", but these are the Christian ones; well, can be that didn't help. OK, these are the ones who play catchy stonerish power metal and released 'Full Speed Ahead' a couple of months ago.
The band is new to me, but the guys have been in the game since 1995, this new record being their third, and first one after six years of silence. This is a kind of a concept album. I usually find it interesting to dig under that kind of records, as the imagery and lyrics use to form a fuller entity, but the Christian texts that the band presents here are quite standard and typical American sounding to me.
Musically, there's a 70's influence that is well-digested and they can draw short, unpretentious but well-integrated solos in-between rather interesting riffs. It even sounds like C.O.C. for a progressive short moment.
They are just three in the band, but have the dynamics of a bigger orchestra. If these guys can make that much from little onstage, they must warm up the scene quite nicely.
This is a good record, filled with good rhythm shifts and a nice groove, but also the kind that leaves you with a slightly fade impression, and therefore can be hard to remember.
