Well... this is one monotonous motherfu...! THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE is the bands name and ‘Monuments’ is the title of this metalcore release that sadly annoys me more than it entertains me.

Packed with start/stop riffing and twisted leads and “melodies”, ‘Monuments’ becomes a pain in the butt already after the first 2 tracks. And then we have the vocals... I’m sure that most metalcore fans will wet their pants over Ricky Armellino’s vocals, but I must admit that the vocals actually give me a fucking headache.

And bollocks to everyone who probably claims that I’m not into real metal. I like my music brutal, alright... but ‘Monuments’ isn’t brutal or real metal...it’s just annoying.

‘Monuments’ is for metalcore fans only. Period.
