Temple of Blood is a Christian metal band from the USA. Most of the songs are rather fast, but they also have a lot of mid-tempo songs. The lyrics are bible related, a song like "Summon the Accused" for example tells the story of Pilate, who has to decide what to do with Jesus, which finally leads to the crucifixion. The fast song "Fearsome Warrior" is about Samson, who defeated the Philistines with just one bone of a jaw. Lucky enough they don't preach, but they just tell the stories.

The music is in the style of for example Agent Steel and the first couple of records of genre mates Deliverance, other influences include Forbidden and some other Bay-area bands are involved as well. In general their music is a little less heavy and fast. "Forbidden Evil" is indeed a cover of you know who? If you like the band depends on if you like the vocal parts, Jim Mullis has a rather strange voice. It is a you love it or hate it kind of vocals. Sometimes sounding a bit like John Cyriss (ex-Agent Steel), but still different. To me that is like the weakest thing about the band, I can't get used to it.

A good record, with good songs and a rather heavy style, if you take the time to listen to it and you don't get irritated by the vocals, you found one of the better releases in the Christian related genre. If you dig the vocals, add 10 points!
