Their second album 'A Great Divide' made a big impression on me. This third one is even better. One of the best progressive albums I have been listening to lately. The music of these talented musicians from New Jersey cannot be described in one sentence.

When you mix the complex music from Dream Theater, with theatrical parts from bands like Epica and Kamelot, include a sniff of Royal Hunt with some Symphony X riffing and put some jazzy saxophone stuff in it and you might be in the neighbourhood of their style.

All songs are rather long, but leave a great impression and never get boring. "Evolutions" is a rather bombastic Royal Hunt kind of song, "Lighted Endrhyme" is more Symphony X style while "Siren" has nice piano parts. In "Reign" some saxophone comes along and in "The Light of the Fire" we even hear some aggressive almost grunting vocal parts. Variety enough.

A record with a very big variety of styles, without getting too complex. Fans of above mentioned bands must try it out.
