SOUNDSHOK hails from Scotland and they have just released their full-length debut album entitled “The Bringers of Bloodshed”. We are talking thrash metal/hardcore here and we get 9 tracks with a heavy yet somehow “muddy” production.
They were formed in 2001 and profess their influences as SEPULTURA, SLAYER, LAMP OF GOD, DECAPITATED, HATEBREED and CHIMAIRA. So you know what to expect.
SOUNDSHOK rocks... no doubt about that. They surely no how to write heavy, thrashy and “catchy” riffs that kills and “The Bringers of Bloodshed” gets better and better with each spin. My only complaint is the vocals from Andy Thain. It took this album a 4 or 5 spins before I got used to his “almost growling” vocals. But now I kinda like his vocals.
“The Bringers of Bloodshed” is not groundbreaking in any way... just thrashy, heavy and groovy. Just the way we like it!
