Sothis is a Symphonic black metal band from Los Angeles. Starting in 1999, they released a demo in 2005, which was titled the best independent release. The self-financed video 'Sinister Nation' has seen over 10,000 views since it's release. Finally here is their debut for Candlelight Records.
What you can expect is music in Dimmu Borgir style. Fast black metal with keyboards and screaming/growling vocals. The fast pounding drums keep the speed in the songs. Bombastic parts now and then give some juice to the songs. The keyboards are nicely embedded in the heavy songs. They are in favour of the songs and not too much in front. This makes Sothis just a little more then the general black metal band.
If you start every morning with an overload of Dimmu Borgir and Stormlord, you should try this one out.
