Siebenburgen is a Swedish band which brings the sixth album to the world. With a guest appearance by Andy LaRoque (King Diamond) and a fine production, this album is worth listening to. At first I thought (looking at the name) that it would be a German band, playing music in Rammstein-style. But I was so wrong..
Expect melodic black-metal a little in Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth-style, but then with more melody and a little less brutal. In some songs you hear screaming/grunting combined with female vocals. They don't do that so often, it is only used when it makes the song better. The keyboard-carpet underneath makes the songs melodic, and sometimes nice piano (keyboard)-parts are woven into the music. The voice of singer Marcus Ehlin fits perfect this kind of music.
Tracks like 'Revelation VI' and 'The Soulless' are two songs where the female voices take part in it, bonus track 'Enter Omega' can be skipped, because it isn't really a song. The best track in my opinion is 'First Leaps High', a fast track with a serene part in it.
I would say - try before you die!
