Italian Shock Troopers have given birth to a solid effort that reaches directly into the belly of the beast called crossover metal. The inspirations can be found in S.O.D. as already mentioned, but also early Suicidal Tendencies.

There’s lots of good energy in this album, and the songs are more than decent – the production likewise. Not much to put the finger on, really. A most for crossover fans, I think.

The only thing I don’t get is the inclusion of two live tracks that sound as if they were recorded on a mobile phone. Why, oh, why?
