I was already fond of their first record 'Symmetric in Design', on their second 'Pitch Black Progress' the band worked everything out more detailed and with better songs. And here is 'Holographic Universe'. With every review you look back at their previous record. If you try not to do that and judge their music, you would be thrown of your chair and have no words to describe what you hear. But, this is their very important third record and so I have to look back too. A lot of fans would perhaps say that the surprise is a little gone and that 'Pitch Black Progress' is better. I am not one of them, I think this is their best so far. The songs are again better. They have worked out the discrepancy between the softer and the heavier parts. Therefore the heavier parts with the grunts even sound more brutal and the softer serene parts even more melodic, in a song like "Ghost Prototype" even a bit like pop. There are also more melodic clean singing parts in the songs and the melodies are beautiful.
Again they have elaborated their style, the combination of melodic death, technical thrash, clean parts, progressive arrangements and unexpected tempo changes are more naturally implementated in the songs. Together with bands as Machinery and The Arcane Order I predict them a great future.
