The source of inspiration is in this case very clear: Iron Maiden. Add a vocalist not that far from Lizzy Borden, but without the control and range, and you have a pretty good idea of what Sacred Oath is all about. The band might ring a bell with some of you because they have been around for a very long time, their debut album 'A Crystal Vision" is from 1987 and it have reached cult status in the underground.
It really wasn't until they released 'Darkness Visible' last year that things started to kick into gear again for the band, and an appearance at the World famous Keep It True Festival was the pinnacle for the band so far...
Now we all get the chance to experience the show; '... 'Till Death Do Us Part' is a live recording of the show in Germany, where Sacred Oath were co-headliner at the event. I am sure there is plenty of very cool and exciting material for the hard-core fans of the band here, but for me - Mr. Average Metal Head - this is simply a too average release and a pointless one.
Sure if I had had any kind of connection to the old songs, or actually had been at the concert I might have found this somewhat interesting. This is an OK live recording with a raw and genuine sound and a good and enthusiastic crowd, but this is strictly for followers of the band.
