This is the hard-hitting comeback album from one of the better death metal bands from the nineties who back then only released one album: ‘Embalmed Existence’ (1993).
Clearly related musically to fellow Tampa citizens Obituary, ‘Mistaken for Dead’ moves no genre boundaries, but the brutality and precision of the release makes plenty of excuse for that.
Not much to say about this one, really, just a concrete-solid death metal disc that fans of old school US death metal would most certainly benefit from giving a listen or two.
